About the issue tracker for Android 9 on the Fairphone 2

The focus of this project is to monitor the state of the Android 9 release running on the FP2.

What belongs here:

  • Any change in behavior end users will experience compare to the latest Android 7 release
  • Any malfunction related to new features introduced by Android 9
  • Feature requests

What we will not handle here:

  • Anything not related to the FP2 software release. E.g.:
    • FP2 hardware-related problems
    • FP2 warranty claims
    • Anything related to other Fairphone products
    • Orders, shipments, and any other logistics-related query

1️⃣ Is your phone up to date?

It might sound obvious, but before doing anything else, make sure you are running the latest version of Fairphone OS, or Fairphone Open.

2️⃣ Browse the existing issues

Before reporting anything, please check the list of open issues and do a search with a keyword or two.
If you prefer boards over lists, we got you covered!
Browsing around comes for free, and you don't even need to register for an account 😄

3️⃣ Add your voice

To interact with the project, you'll need to sign in or sign up for a user account.

🔍 Found an existing issue matching your problem/request?

Great! Open it, and interact:

  • Leave a thumbs up, or any other reaction, using the buttons below the issue description.
    This will add you to the list of participants for the issue. You can see the full list of participants at the bottom of the right sidebar.
  • Check the status of the issue by looking at the labels in the right sidebar.
    We use four categories of labels:
    • impact reflects the estimated impact on the use of the product.
    • os tracks which flavor of the issue is relevant for.
    • status exposes the current status of the confirmation-to-solution process.
    • type identifies the nature of the reported issue.
  • Enable notifications if you want to be kept in the loop about every update to the issue.
    To do so, use the toggle at the bottom of the right sidebar.
  • Add a comment or reply to one, adding any useful information you can share.
    Please only add constructive information. Anything else will only generate noise in the conversation. Thanks!
