Issue description, as found on Taiga

When charging from a laptop usb the battery icon does not change to a battery charging icon. The indicator light is yellow, and the battery level does increase over time.

When switching from the laptop usb to a power outlet charger, this does not change (no charge indicator, but actually charging).

However, after restarting, and connecting to the outlet charger, the battery icon does change to a battery charge icon. Curiously, if I then switch back to the laptop usb, the battery charge icon also shows.

Have tried all these steps twice, seems reproducible.
