Wifi connection problems after update
Which version of the software are you running?
21.03.0-rel.2
What happened?
The recent upgrade to Fairphone OS brings back wifi connection problems that I already experienced ~2 years ago when I first got my Fairphone 2. Those were fixed in the mean time, but now they are back, worse than before. After not using the phone for a while (not sure how long, perhaps ~ 15 min.) the wifi connection drops and does not reconnect automatically, even though it should. So when I pick up my phone again after a while of not using it, the wifi is disabled. I then have to manually reconnect to the network, and also this may need a few attempts before it gets a working connection again.
Sometimes I have to enable flight mode and disable it, and then manually reconnect to the wifi before it works. The wifi modem is a Fritz!Box 7581. My wife also has a fairphone 2 and experiences the same problem here at home (and we don't use many other networks nowadays due to the pandemic). Other devices that use the same wifi here at home (various laptops, ipads and a printer) do have very stable wifi connections.
