The option "Disable absolute volume" for Bluetooth no longer works
Which version of the software are you running?
Enabling "Disable Absolute Volume" in the Developer Options no longer does anything (it worked before the upgrade to Android 9).
Also, not sure whether this is how absolute volume is supposed to work, but increasing/decreasing the volume does so both on the phone and on the headphones, resulting in the volume control no longer being linear, but quadratic, with the result being that the volume can only toggle between "too loud" and "too quiet".
Is there a workaround?
The only workaround I could find, was to set the internal volume control of my music player app very low, allowing me to somewhat control the volume with the normal volume controls, though as a result, if any other apps play a sound, it is way too loud. So not a great solution.
